The Hoya Timeline

While The Hoya came into the world intending to chronicle life and times at Georgetown University, it has done much more than that in its over 90 years of publication. The newspaper may function as a source of news and outlet for community opinions across the spectrum, but, for its staffers of all generations, The Hoya has been a home and a fundamental part of the undergraduate experience. This timeline takes a look at The Hoya throughout the ages, highlighting pieces that former staffers said defined their time at Georgetown.

The Hoya Timeline was actually the brainchild of The Hoya alum Mairead Reilly. After she presented the idea to the organization, a collective hustle and bustle by The Hoya staffers brought her idea to fruition, with a special shoutout to the Technology and Corporate Development Assistants. Below, however, we recognize the leaders who put in the extra hours to see this project through.
